I am currently working as a Technical Specialist – Climate Risk Management at Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre (ADPC). I am providing technical assistance and capacity building support to the Disaster Management Department, Govt. of Bihar and Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Bihar to implement the Bihar Road Map of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) 2015-2030 in the lines of Sendai Framework of DRR. Earlier I was working as a scientist at the GIS and Climate Research Unit, Tocklai Tea Research Institute where I executed projects on climate smart agriculture, sustainable livelihood & food security as well as sustainability of tea crop in future climate scenarios and a number of other researches related to application of Electronics in Agriculture & Environment and water resources management . I also worked on ISRO and DST, GOI programs on land and water resources management and disaster management in India. I hold dual Master’s in Applied Geological Sciences as well as Environmental Modelling and Management and a PhD in Geoinformatics and Fluvial Geomorphology from University of Southampton, UK.
